On a shopping ban

I'm trying very hard not to shop. It's been a good two weeks. And then I realized there are some things I need. I hate how you have to spend money on work clothes! It's summer and it is hot. I have some work summer clothes, however some of them don't fit at the moment. I have gained a bit of weight (I guess) since meeting my bf almost 11 months ago. I am working out more now and I think I am shaving off some inches but I am not quite where I want to be. I want to get back into those clothes!

In the meantime, I have to go and buy a few things to make it through this season. I feel like I have been wearing the same clothes over and over again. I am going to do some outlet shopping with my mom this weekend. I know I shouldn't since I am trying to save as much money as possible, but as I explained before, I do need some things. I have a small list - 2 skirts, 2 day dresses and a pair of gladiators. My current gladiators are on their way out. Let's see if I can stick to that.

So of course Nordstrom's is doing their anniversary sale. I looked on the site and didn't find much in terms of clothing, but of course I found a handbag. I went out to the store to check this bag in person. Unfortunately it did look like an old lady bag in the store, but I figured that that particular bag was thrown around a lot. It was just laying on one of the sale tables. I ordered the bag in two colors. Here it is.

For some reason I am unable to lift the pictures. I bought it in the snakeskin pattern and the portobello color. The Nordstrom I went to had the portobello colored bag. So the good news is that I may end up returning both. Savings! (lol)

These are some of the sites I've been frequenting lately ...

I thought I'd post some websites I have been liking lately. Maybe you can get a better feel for my sense of humor and my interests:

1. Vigilant Citizen - http://vigilantcitizen.com/

This website is all about the Illuminati and Monarch Programming, conspiracy theories and the like. I know it sounds very confusing, but this guy writes articles on how some of our favorite musicians may be in on the Illuminati. Do I believe what is being written? Not really. I think if you really look for something, you will find it. I just find that it really tests my mind and makes me think. I also know that it freaks the hell out of me, so I don't like to look at pictures of Baphomet all that much. Don't know what I am talking about? Read his article! Also his article about Lady Gaga really made me look at her in a new light and I did stop listening to her music for a few days.

2. Regretsy - http://www.regretsy.com/

God, I love this site! It basically takes the best of the worst of etsy.com and puts it on blast. You'd be amazed at some of the things people create and try to pass off as art! I haven't made a commitment yet to become a member, so I am not sure what kind of crazy items are listed in the member only sections of regretsy.com

3. People of Walmart - http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/photos

Now I specifically love the photos section of peopleofwalmart.com. They actually do have a collection of stories and other items, but the pictures are what make this site so funny! I always try and see if I can find a picture from Jersey, but I haven't seen one yet. I often wonder if people look in the mirror before they go out, but when you're headed to Wal-Mart, I guess it doesn't matter.

4. Go Fug Yourself - http://gofugyourself.com/

These chicks are hysterical! I love how they post pictures of celebrities in the worst outfits. Their commentary is to die for at times. Hmm, maybe some of these people belong on peopleofwalmart.com too.

5. Passive Aggressive Notes - http://www.passiveaggressivenotes.com/

Is your roommate eating all your food? Instead of confronting them directly, leave them a note! People can contribute pictures of notes they have received, written, or have seen. Some people do get annoyed at the stupidest things.
